The Steak House was founded in 1957 by Fred and Anne Jo Howey. In 1979 their son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Barb, purchased the restaurant and for 26 years enjoyed the company of travelers and locals alike. In 2005, Geoff and Chris Coffee purchased The Steak House. Chris is Barb and Dave's oldest daughter and is now the third generation to run the restaurant. We are a small family owned facility and pride ourselves in serving the finest of foods in a friendly home town atmosphere. Our goal is to make you feel at home and want to visit Wellsboro and all it has to offer for many years to come. Please check out our menu and what the area has to offer.
